As the main contractor, CFG Géothermal is proud to announce the successful drilling of the new dogger geothermal doublet for SMIREC, Syndicat mixte des réseaux d’énergie calorifique (heat network for Epinay-sur-Seine, Villetaneuse and Pierrefitte-sur-Seine).
With a total depth of 2,008 meters and a final inclination of 34° to the vertical, the production well (GVLT-1) was drilled over 42 days (from 03/23/2024 to 05/04/2024).
It confirmed the forecast characteristics of the target reservoir (Bathonian limestone).
The injector well (GVLT-2) was then drilled in 38 days (from 06/05/2024 to 13/06/2024), reaching a final depth of 2,035 meters at an inclination of 40°.
The work was carried out on a contract basis, supervised by CFG Géothermal’s drilling engineers and hydrogeologists, in accordance with the continuous operation (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) required for this type of project in an urban context.
CFG Géothermal would like to thank all the specialist companies involved in this project, in particular the drilling company SMP Energies, which deployed its SMP 106 rig for this operation.
